JAIPUR | 03.01.2022 :- Javed Siddiqui, a widely known
screenplay and dialogue writer would be honored with Jaipur
International Film Festival’s Life Time Achievement Award. Born in 1942,
in Rampur, Javed Siddiqi has earned great name and fame by writing
screenplays and dialogues for more than 60 super hit films in his
career.
He’s been honored with the prestigious Film Fare Award twice, in 1994 for super hit film Baazigar and in 1996 for blockbuster Dil Wali Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Besides, he has been awarded Star Screenplay Award for writing the screenplay of the super successful film Raja Hindustani in 1996.
Prominent Hindi – Urdu Writer Javed Siddiqi is a leading writer of Bollywood with a rare distinction of writing for all the major stars and actors of his generation including Shahrukh Khan, Dharmendra, Farooque Sheikh, Naseeruddin Shah, Smita Patil, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Govinda, Rakesh Roshan, to name a few.
Javed
started his journey into films with Satyajit Ray (Shatranj Ke Khiladi)
and then worked with the likes of Muzaffar Ali, Mani Ratnam, Yash
Chopra, Aditya Chopra, Subhash Ghai, Rakesh Roshan, etc.
Starting
his career from Shyam Benegal’s Shatranj Ke Khiladi, and popular TV
show Bharat Ek Khoj, Javed Siddiqui has gained fame for writing Kismat
by Ramesh Sippi and Waqt by Yash Chopra.
JIFF founder director Hanu Roj tells, Javed Siddiqi would be awarded Life Time Achievement Award at the Opening Ceremony of JIFF, at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, at 4:30 P.M. on 7th January.
