After recording 8 cases of monkeypox across the country in men, India reported its 1st case in women too. A Nigerian woman in her 30s is being detected positive for Monkeypox in Delhi. She has been in India for 1months and now and recently got positive for monkeypox.
They are taking the country’s toll to 9 and 1st case in women.
While talking about the rise of Monkeypox cases in the world an advisor from WHO said “we are seeing cases that are largely focused on men. There have been cases in women and they are limited.”
The woman who tested positive has no recent travel history, and none of the patients who tested positive in Delhi has no travel history, but all the cases which are so far the travel history from UAE. The majority of the patients who have tested positive for the virus have developed almost similar cases.
